From keeping the house clean and tidy to tending the garden, connecting with the digital world or getting out to a museum, our enthusiastic and well-trained 'Lively Helpers' are available to help older people live well and stay connected - whatever that looks like for you.
Our unique approach makes it easy to connect with a local young person who can meet your care and support needs, while also fostering meaningful, intergenerational friendship - something that we think our world needs more of!
In turn, engaging a Lively Helper provides a young person with meaningful paid employment, and the chance to learn from the stories, knowledge and experience of older community members.

What Lively Helpers can assist with...
But don't let this limit your imagination! In general, as long as you and your Helper agree to an activity, and it feels safe, you can choose your own adventure.
All of our Helpers are thoroughly screened and trained for their role, and adhere to appropriate health and safety measures. And should any challenges arise in your match, our team is here to help resolve them.

Pricing
We’re a not-for-profit, so we only charge what’s necessary to deliver high-quality support for both our older and younger participants. Our fees fund fair wages for our young Helpers, as well as the provision of our training, mentoring and support that helps them kickstart their careers.
Sessions can be funded through a Home Care Package, and in some cases the Commonwealth Home Support Program. If you're receiving services through these funding streams, contact your provider to discuss engaging Lively Helper Services.
In support of our mission to create ongoing, meaningful relationships, our minimum booking is 4 sessions.
